Medical weight loss pre & post-treatment guide.
Mandatory criteria to qualify.
A BMI of 25+.
No history of medullary thyroid cancer in yourself or a family member.
No kidney or liver disease
No acute/recurrent pancreatitis.
Not pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant in the immediate future.
Pre-treatment.
Hydration.
Please ensure you're well-hydrated before your appointment, as we will be conducting blood tests during your consultation.
Fasting
For an accurate cholesterol panel, try to fast for at least 6 hours prior to your appointment time.
Paperwork.
Fill out your intake paperwork and sign your consents on our portal.
Insurance
We do not accept insurance for lab. work. If you've had lab work done in the past 6 months, please bring the results for the provider to review. If you'd like to have insurance cover your labs, have your primary care physician draw the following labs and bring the results with you to your initial appointment: CBC, CMP, TSH, A1C, Lipid.

Disclose any medications, topical treatments, or recent skincare products you've been using to ensure the best results.
During your consultation.
Here's what to expect during your consultation:
You will meet with a provider to review your medical history, symptoms, and expectations.
Blood will be drawn to assess blood counts, thyroid function, cholesterol levels, and screen for diabetes.
If you are a candidate for the program, you will be provided with a scale, sharps container, and needles to administer your injections at the time of your consultation. You will be instructed on how to self-administer your medications at home during the consultation.
After your consultation.
Lab results will be emailed to you within one week. Any abnormal results will result in a referral to your primary care physician for management, as we do not currently offer primary care services.
Your medications will be delivered to The Beauty Barn® and you will be notified for pick-up. It may take up to 3 weeks for delivery.
You will have the option to participate in our JumpStart program if you wish to get started immediately. This is only available as an add-on to the package and is not sold separately.
Weight loss is not an exact science, nor is there a magic shot or medicine that allows us to lose weight and keep it off. It is very much a combination of diet, exercise, and properly dosed medications to assist you in achieving your goals.
There is NO GUARANTEE that this program will work nor is there any promise to the amount of weight you will lose. It is important, as part of this investment to yourself, to ensure you are ready to take the necessary steps to commit to lifestyle changes while in this program.
